XOOM Energy Delves Deeper into the Heart of Texas

May 11, 2015

As of Monday May 11th, XOOM Energy strengthened its foothold in Texas with the inclusion of two new markets.  With the addition of the Sharyland Utilities, XOOM Energy has increased its customer service area to 78 markets nationwide and seven utilities in the great state of Texas.

XOOM Energy has been powering forward in The Lone Star state since 2011 with traditional and renewable energy options for residential, small business and commercial customers.  With no cost to switch, no interruption in service, and the availability of value-added services like Auto Bill Pay and Budget Billing, it’s no wonder that XOOM continues to see growth in the second largest and second most populated state in the country.

Texas residents have enjoyed the benefits of energy deregulation for some time now and as a result, the “energy education” level seems to be higher than that of other states.  “The energy retail business in Texas is not for the faint of heart,” says Bob Blake, COO.  “The energy landscape is saturated with competition and XOOM is differentiating itself with pilot programs and new products and services that no other provider can offer.  We’ve devoted an entire team to serving Texas and managing the unique demands of the market.”

Having established productive working relationships with several utility companies in Texas, XOOM is confident that the launch of the Sharyland Utilities partnership will prove to be seamless and satisfactory to customers. With new products like FreeLock and ComfortLock, XOOM looks forward to continued growth in Texas by offering customers affordable, smart energy options.
